Music
Ancient music meets contemporary jazz made in Italy.
Glauco Venier and Michele Corcella resume the scores of Giorgio Mainerio, an original figure of priest, composer and choirmaster who worked from 1560 until his death in Aquileia and its surroundings. Those of the religious are originally “four-part dances” that the pianist and conductor reread with great freedom, mixing baroque and minimalism, improvised moments and folk quotes.
